Yes, Cato’s edge appliance that we place in your location can be configured as HA to prevent any single point of hardware failure. But let us also consider: In case of an edge appliance hardware (socket) failure, the backup Socket in the HA pair, Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol, will announce itself as the target of the LAN IP address, and all traffic will be routed through it. Since the Socket is used for tunneling to the Cato PoP, there will be no IP address changes, and no disconnects are expected.
