Senior UX Designer

We are seeking an experienced UX designer to join our team. A design professional who will take the lead in enhancing our customer portal and ensuring it becomes a user-centric, intuitive, and (visually) engaging platform.

Our customer portal is a critical interface where users interact with our services, manage their underline, access performance insights, engage with our Network Operations Center (NOC),and much more!  We are a leader in managing global corporate networks, enabling secure and efficient connections through solutions such as SD-WAN, SASE cloud, WAN optimisation, and centralised orchestration systems. Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for crafting user-centric designs that provide intuitive and seamless experiences. You have an eye for clean and artful design, possess UI design skills, can translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artefacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to deliver exceptional digital solutions.

 Core activities:

·      Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviours.
·      Analyse user feedback and data to refine and improve existing designs. 
·      Develop wireframes, (interactive) prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.
·      Design user interfaces for web and mobile applications that are both functional and visually appealing.
·      Collaborate with Head of Product andDevelopment team to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
·      Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve the user experience of our products.
·      Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development
·      Conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks
·      Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI libraries.
·       Established promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Professional background and experience

·      Relevant bachelor/master degree in(digital) design, software engineering or related disciplines.
·      Proven extensive experience (more than 5-7years) as a UX Designer or in a similar role
·      Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
·      Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio.
·      Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows and interactive prototypes.
·      Proficiency in design tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar software.
·      Proficiency in front-end technologies(HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to prototype solutions and to collaborate with ourdevelopers.
·      Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
·      Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
·      Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
·      Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
·      Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

In this role, you’ll design, implement, and manage our cutting-edge network infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of performance, security, and reliability. You'll be a key player in our operations, working closely with customers, handling escalations, and driving technical excellence across our global services.

What you will do and what you bring:

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Designing, implementing, and optimizing global corporate networks based on customer needs, ensuring secure and high-performance connections
    • Collaborating with our Support team, NOC and partners to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring SLA compliance and customer satisfaction
    • Collaborating with our Sales team to identify and support new opportunities, as well as enhancing services for existing customers
    • Performing network performance analysis and recommending improvements to enhance reliability and scalability
    • Providing technical support for escalated issues and acting as a key technical resource for both internal teams and customers
    • Assisting in the deployment and management of our Data Center and Firewall Infrastructure
    • Staying updated on the latest technologies and industry trends to maintain operational excellence and security

  • What We’re Looking For:
    • A minimum of 5 years of network engineering experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level networks
    • A bachelor's or master's degree in information technology (preferred)
    • Cisco CCNP certification (or higher), or equivalent qualifications or experience in network engineering
    • Experience with SD-WAN, SASE, and other network security solutions
    • Strong troubleshooting skills with a hands-on mentality to address a wide range of tasks, from deployment to issue resolution
    • Proven ability to work in customer-facing environments with excellent communication skills
    • Project management skills with a structured, systematic approach to managing tasks and deliverables
    • Strong English communication skills (Dutch is a strong plus)
    • Willingness to travel within Europe for short business trips

In this role, you’ll ensure the availability and quality of our services, working with advanced systems for automated monitoring and reporting. You'll be at the forefront of our customer interactions, managing support tickets, interfacing with our NOC and performing Service Reviews with our managed customer base together with our Network Engineers.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Proactively monitor and support global SASE and SD-WAN networks
    • Ensure top-notch technical support and SLA compliance

Role description

Working from our office in Amsterdam, you support our on-line marketing efforts, by helping implement and automate a scalable lead-generation process. This process attracts, nurtures and keeps track of contacts in our target group. The aim is to generate contacts in our target group that (wish to) engage with us about the purchase of services ('leads').

Practically it means the following responsibilities:

Role description

You will become part of our highly skilled and innovative network engineering, operations and development team. You will help IPK design, sell, deploy, configure, administrate, automate and ensure performant and secure global networks that cater to our customer needs.

  1. Requirements analysis (about evolving enterprise ICT infrastructure / digital transformation)
  2. Design SASE SD-WAN networks
  3. Assist Sales with engineering expertise in major bids
  4. Engineering-Lead for migrating new customers to SASE SD-WAN
  5. Engineering-Lead for IPK product Innovation (Assist product owner)

Requirements

  • Network security & data protection (ZTNA, SDP)
  • Workflow Orchestration/application deployment / OT Automation

  • Cloud solutions (Azure/AWS etc.), specifically network infrastructure integration into the cloud (Virtual WAN, VNETs, Virtual Appliances, etc).
  • Troubleshooting and fault-analysis
